First of all, hallo!
In this part of my site I want to share with you my adaptations of the Orthodox church music from Slavonic into other languages - English and Dutch. I am also planning to put online some transliterated Orthodox Church music. My experience has showed that lots of church-choirs are in need of it.
The main online source of the scores in English is in my opinion the website "Podoben" created by Protodeacon Stephen Howanetz:
For those of you who has only two voices in your choir or prefer to sing music for one or two voices, I recommend the site "Orthodox Two Part Liturgical Music".
"In the past half-century, individuals have undertaken the task of adapting, into English, the music which was brought to this land by the Orthodox faithful. This website, "Podoben”, is an effort to make available the musical adaptations to all who find a need for English and Slavonic adaptations to accompany the services of the Orthodox Church. It will contain arrangements for all aspects of life in the Church. The scores are arranged by individuals who have freely given their time and talent for the sole benefit of the Church."
As for the Orthodox music in the Netherlands, there must be mentioned the website of the church-choir "Oktoikh", which widely spreads Orthodox faith through the singing.
